Clutch : my big break
In 2013, what seems like an eternity ago, some mates of mine at work said "you've gotta try and get Clutch at the Ritz," I replied "who?"
These were the very early days of my gig photography, I wasn't shooting for anyone but myself and was struggling at times, I wasn't really knowledgeable on bands (I'm still not ). So, I thought sod it, if they say no, then they say no.
To my amazement I got a friendly reply telling me it shouldn't be a problem, contact closer to gig. I had never even thought that the Ritz was a possibility and got quite giddy.
On the night of the concert, I knew I'd been given a special opportunity and after the concert, realized by a special band.
Neil Fallon was mesmerizing on stage and their performance was awesome.

Meeting fellow togs in the pit that were working for publications was inspiration by itself but when the band later shared one of my pics on their Facebook page, getting 2k+ likes, the night became one of my best ever memories. Clutch and their PR people are obviously well aware that the little people need opportunities at times and I am very thankful for it.
Spin on to 2014 and Clutch visit the Manchester Academy, a lot more experience under my belt and more confidence, I knew some of their music and was really fired up. I've re-edited these pics and I'm presenting them on my site. I'm no writer and certainly no expert on music.......I have Bee Gees on my phone ffs and I don't care.
I'm reliably informed Clutch will be returning to Britain later this year so I'm hoping for a 3rd time.
Please enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them.
